Maybe the dingo ate your baby!
For those of you who haven’t heard, Matt and I are planning to get married this year! I guess three years of living in sin is enough, right?
We’re very excited. It should be an interesting wedding too, and untraditional, due to our blend of cultures…we’re going to do many traditional Chinese customs, my Italian relatives will probably sing Italian polkas, Matt will step on the glass, etc. We’re looking at a place near Sturbridge, but I’ve only seen the website so we’re going to check it out this weekend.
And for those of you wondering about the engagement ring…we’re not doing one; instead we’ve invested the money into a major appliance in the basement heating our home!
I hope this doesn’t mean that I have to start referring to Matt as my fiance. I really don’t like that word!

Congratulations Kristine, wonderful news, I wish you and Matt all the best.
Thanks so much, John! :-)
Congrats! I hated “fiance,” too, until one of my best friends pointed out that it was better than “wife.” In a good way!!!! lol

Congrats to you and Matt! Although I have to point out that IMHO “wife” isn’t such a bad thing… beats heck out of “ex-girlfriend” or “uh, my friend” any day! :-)
I think “wife” is way better than “fiance”…something always sounds so obnoxious and nasally about the word “fiance”!
I’m thrilled to death for the two of you! I needed a good smile today and this has more than done it for me. Thanks for getting engaged to brighten up my day :-)
Aww, Karl is getting the best step-mom ever!!!!
Wow! Congratulations, you guys! I’m sure the wedding will be beautiful and that major-appliance idea is very practical!
I was actually thinking more about this today, because no matter how long you are a fiance, you’re not married. And the only reasons I can think of to get married are mostly (mostly) legal purposes. There is nothing to be gained by even using the word fiance. It’s a moot point. If you don’t like it, don’t use it. ;) -e
Haha…I’m not planning on it. I’ll transition Matt straight from boyfriend to husband, I think.
Matt’s Chinese???
I hope you guys get a hydronic radiant floor system put in. I keep reading about them and wonder just how great they are!
Congratulations to you and Matt :)
Thanks!! Matt is half Chinese :-)
Congratulations!

I’m going to print that out and give it to Steven. We’ve been together a little over 3 years. :)
Great news!! I was wondering when that was going to happen. Best of luck to the both of you.
Too funny, Courtney! LOL
Thanks everybody!!!
