Blizzard!!!
Nothing excites me more than a major snowstorm. It reminds me of when I was a kid…I’d sleep with my pajamas inside out (which supposedly brings snow), wake up, and listen to the radio to hear school was cancelled…then we’d drink hot chocolate and eat apple cinnamon Cream of Wheat.
Then we’d go outside, have snowball fights, build massive forts, build snowmen (that didn’t look like real snowmen, they looked more like Captain Caveman), and then go back inside to have more hot chocolate. There would often be some drama with the neighborhood kids on snow days, and I think I would usually end the day feeling a little cranky. And bummed out if I had to go to school the next day.
I’ll post some pictures of the snow later. :-)

I’m very jealous of the blizzard. Enjoy it.

We went to Johnny D’s for brunch today, and there were actually a lot of people there. We weren’t the only hungry people who braved the snowstorm in order to gorge themselves on scrambled eggs and pancakes! :) The rest of today we’ve spent sleeping and lounging. That’s my favorite part of a “snow day”–the laziness. I’m glad it happened on a weekend day, too, to be honest, ’cause then there isn’t even the possibility of having to go to work. It’s all s-l-o-w. :)
Apple cinnamon cream of wheat? You’re nuts! It’s all about maple brown sugar…
They don’t even make apple cinnamon anymore. :-( I had to have maple brown sugar yesterday.
Ahhh… growin’ up in snow country always sounds so fun!
