Did you know that the word gullible is not in the dictionary?

February 6th, 2006

Matt LIED! Those were NOT dead pigeons! Matt lied and made me look like a fool on the internet! My post about the dead pigeons was even quoted on UniversalHub!

I should have continued to go on with my initial instinct and not believe Matt about the pigeons. Apparently they’re not pigeons, but pieces of wood or something. BUT IN MY DEFENSE, THEY REALLY LOOK LIKE PIGEONS! The wood looked like pigeons tails all fanned out. I was so freaked out by the fact that there were dead pigeons on the fence. I couldn’t even think about it without involuntarily shuddering.

I thought long and hard about how to deal with this humiliation that Matt inflicted upon me. I considered deleting the post, but then I decided that all in all, it’s pretty humorous and I am publicly admitting my error here.

But now I will be reluctant to ever believe anything anybody says again! Man, I should have learned my lesson after a few years ago when my dad managed to convince me that cows always walk in rows of four.

They really did look like pigeons!!! The first few times we had gone to the Y and you pointed them out, I was like “whatever, man!” and then you really convinced me that they were dead pigeons. It grossed me out!

I know how you feel. Someone convinced me that a well known news anchor began his career as a porn star and sported a famously big…er…you know. As it turns out there was no such career. (Not sure about the you know, though). :)
