Stuck

December 18th, 2007

I got sick about a week and a half ago (ear infection/sinus infection thing) which resulted in me having vertigo. I felt uncomfortable driving while so dizzy, so I had pretty much no use for my car. I haven’t driven since before the snowstorm on Thursday. Today is the first day that I’ve felt like I could drive, so I went outside, armed with my shovel and ready to dig my car out. I planned to do some Christmas shopping.

First, I slipped on the ice and landed in a mountain of snow. I held on to the side of my house and scraped the snow off from all over my car. Luckily, that snow was quite powdery so it was a fairly easy task. I tried to get some of the snow/ice wedged by the tires out. Then, I was unable to open the driver’s side door because there was a block of snow-turned-ice. So, I went in through the back door and climbed to the front.

To make a long story short, I was out there for quite some time but my car won’t budge. And I guess I’m still not feeling up to snuff, because trying to get my car out totally sucked the energy out of me and now I feel extremely dizzy all over again! :-(

Last year, something similar happened after The Valentine’s Day Snowstorm which I blogged about extensively. Except that was much worse because I simply didn’t shovel out of procrastination…this time I was sick!

So, anyway, ixnay on the Istmaschray oppingshay today, for the most part. Tomorrow I’ll just take the bus for my shopping needs.
